Why do they say “Save your money for a rainy day?”
I mean seriously people? aren’t rainy days just beautiful? maybe not in India, but yeah…
I love the rain! I think they should change that saying to something like “Save your money for a dusty day” or “a humid day” or “a really hot sticky summer’s day” because no one likes dust! no one on this earth likes dust! If you ask everyone here on Earth if they like dust, you’d get one answer… “NO!”
I think it’s the only thing that people would agree upon, no matter of what race, religion, sexual orientation or social class or whatever it is that they belong to… they would tell you “Yes, I do hate dust.” So I think it should be “Save your money for a dusty day” not a rainy day!
Something else that really bothers me about the saying, which I think is just completely silly. Why do I save my money just for one day? what about other days? what about holidays? shouldn’t I save money for that too? shouldn’t I save money to buy a new car for example? what if I was on my way to buy a new car, and it didn’t rain on that day? should I save my money? should I wait till the next day and pray for rain? wouldn’t that make car sales go really down during summer? … and what if it snows? does that count as rain? it’s the same concept, different physical state…
Ok, so when you say that I should save my money for a rainy day I start thinking that if I really need money on a rainy day that means I’m going to spend a lot on that day, right? where the hell am I going to spend it!! most likely I’ll be at home! maybe order food or something but that wouldn’t cost a lot… I’m not going to a zillion star hotel, or travel, or buy a house… unless you have holes in your ceiling! yes, having holes in your ceiling is a very legitimate reason to spend a lot of money on a rainy day, which is by buying a new house… how’s that? huh? Ok, maybe having rain coming through the ceiling for one day is manageable. what if it was a rainy week? you know what I’m saying? because no one would like to have that kind of life, right?
So if you visit anyone and then notice that they have holes in their ceiling, just tell them “Save your money for a rainy week!”

On a lighter note…
I guess by now you know how much I love rain, and as usual I took a walk in the rain… today at around 3. It was just amazing, too cold maybe but that didn’t stop moi! before it stops and when it got a bit lighter I got my phone and took some photos, I didn’t wanna take it out when it was heavily raining or else it would’ve got ruined and I would’ve needed to get myself a new one… meaning, I should’ve saved some money in that case… for a really beautiful rainy day ; – )
